Talented Artist!!

So sorry I have been busy with too much reality!! My kids started school, and I switched to full time at school. Took away all my free time!! Starting to get back on schedule.....a little!! lol

I have been so busy at school, but Sara has been doing her best to make time for Tuesday Nail Club!!! She did some beautiful and fun designs. She is a very talented artist an does such an awesome job with art designs. Here is a quirky design with the cutest Octopus and  nail with purple swirls to accent!!

More creative designs.....with a bit of an Asian look! A delicate cherry blossom branch, a golden tower and a red and gold flourished design. I love the gold blended with the red, looks so regal! Sorry the pic is a little fuzzy, had to hurry cuz it was time to clean up :D

Awesome work as always Sara! Always happy to have your input and creativity!!!
Happy Polishing :D

Polish, Polish Everywhere!!

Howdy fellow polish addicts!! I apologize to my follower(s) for being so late with this weeks post. It has become difficult to have our Tuesday nail time at school and I have also been needing to focus on finishing test and totals needed since I have a short time till I graduate (yeah!). I am still focused on practicing nail skills and perfecting techniques I will need working as a nail tech. (I got pedicures down cold!)

Onto some nail art!! Although its getting a little crowded in our club lately, we managed to get some designs done. Prompted by a request from our teacher, I tried my hand at some Water Marbling. Not exactly my specialty but managed to get one good nail done! More on my Water marbling adventure in the next post!

Another technique I tried this week was doing a sponging type technique with bunched up plastic. My goal on this nail was to create a look of a piece of turquoise. I think this will make a neat mani for fall. I used ORLYs Gumdrop as my base and accented with white and an antique gold paint. Then a top coat of Awesome Sauce for some shine!

Sara had some amazing designs she couldn't wait to get on a nail!! Some really great geometric designs and a funky colored cheetah print. The bright simple flowers on a black base really pop!!!

Cat wanted to go a little wild and do a tribal design. I love the colors and great detail....but we all kinda agree it looks a little like an Easter Egg!! lol Either way its a great design!! :D

The Water Marbling is a big challenge for me. I have spent today working on different tips others have suggested and tryin to find what works best. Look for my experiment on the next post!

Happy Polishing!!! :D

Hi Ho...Its Off to Work We Go!!

Well Nail Club got bumped a bit this week. Working towards a full cosmo license means taking all clients and boy were we busy Tuesday!! We tried to squeeze in some time today but we were lucky to welcome a new Nail program student! Sara and I were asked to help get her started, so our time was spent showing Beth Ann, a.k.a. Pinky, the steps for pedicures! After taking time to ooh and aah over her large nail kit and all the cool goodies she had in there (since she is just nail tech she gets a bigger kit than the one we get for full cosmo), I had some time to work with my instructor getting tips and advice on acrylic nails.

Sara managed to find some time to do a few designs. She did a cow face to accent cow print nails. Also did a glittery shooting star and a fun Mickey Mouse polka dot nail. My favorite though, was the nail done with bacon and an egg on a skillet!!!! Cows? Bacon? Eggs? I think she might be ready for lunch!! lol

Maddy has been watching and helping us for a couple of weeks and decided to get in on the action. She didn't feel very confident about her skills, but Nail Club is about practicing and working on your craft. She did a patriotic design with Stars and the red, white and blue! Maybe inspired by the Olympics that we are watching this week :) She struggled a bit, but a couple coats of Awesome Sauce bring the art to life!

I'm gonna try to work on some art on my next couple of days off...and Its time to do my own nails too! Im thinking of a cute cherry design......
Happy Polishing Everyone!! :D
